HomeFOR ALL MUSIC LOVERSDec 3, 2006
M.Iqbal, my father has expired on 20th March, 2007. For more details please click to see :http://www.orkut.com/CommTopics.aspx?cmm=29414623 Music is divine. It is everywhere in the Universe. The earth, the sky, and the planets witness this melliflous phenomenon. The wind, the waves of rivers and occeans, the lilt of flowers, plants and trees and the birds and all creatures resonate Music. It is Rhythm the indicator of Life. The sound reverberates Life. Who might have sung the first song? Perhaps the earliest cavemen who had drawn the first mural pictures. He had drawn Dancing. When there is Dance, there is Music. When he thronged in groups for various occassions like labour, cultivation, ceremonies, caravans and even calamities, he sang. It was in the form of Hymns or Folk. The Folk stands the basis of Music. When scientifically gauged up, Classical Music evolved out. India with all its multiplicity of regions, cultures and languages, has an abundant treasure of Music. Besides Folk Music
of multiple genre, the Classical Music, both Hindustani and Carnatic remain the rich treasures of Music of the world.
When Talkie Movie started there evolved a rich musical domain-the Film Music. Celebrated Musicians, Composers, Singers,
Poets, Lyricists and other artists- all of them have made contributions for this unique genre of Music which captured the minds of millions of the country from Himalaya to Kanya Kumari. The melody being the heart of Film Music, the degenerating trends in the present pace casts gloomy marks on the minds of music lovers. Still there are melodic works coming out.
The trends may come and trends may go, but real Music will remain eternally. The Folk Music, Classical Music and the Popular Music mainly including Film Music, with their rich treasures will remain forever.

This site is mailny dedicated to Music. I believe good music touches heart and not the feet. As a window to Music the site will function.

Please go through all the pages, namely Blog, Photos, Music, Reviews, Link and my Multiply. Chose from among the pages and read or listen to them. Whenever you get time forget not to visit this site. Your participation is the most pleasant thing .

All Music Lovers are requested to lend their support and co operation.

Regards,

M.IQBAL, COCHIN

Thank You here

This song of mine
is like a flow of light.

In the rugged rocky terrain,
day and night, I flow along,
I flow along unhindered.

This path of mine is uneven,
full of thorns.

With a forceful flow of life,
I flow along, breaking asunder,
I move along breaking the prison walls.

This is pretty much a shock to me. I wish we had known each other better, Mr. Iqbal. May your soul be at peace.

Realisation of loss is unbearable especially when the emotions receive a hard blow. I joined "multiply' family today and visited Janab Iqbal's site. I was so deeply impressed that I started looking forward to somehow meet a person like him, in my lifetime.... only to find out later that he is no more!

I was wondering why we have not heard from you as of late. I am sorry for your loss. I am sure your father's memories bring smile to your face. You have a fantastic selection of songs. Do you also have some of Lata's songs that are old and truly gems.
